Orangutans are pretty damn smart, but they don’t have the vocal cords to speak our human language, so some zoos are teaching our ape cousins how to communicate using iPads.

This wasn’t some stately scientific experiment to see how well a gorilla plays Scribblenauts— some kid at the San Francisco zoo accidentally dropped his Nintendo DS XL into the gorilla cage and a gorilla picked it up and started playing it. It looks like the perfect fit for the big fucking gorilla hands. After a zookeeper gave the gorilla a pear, he easily gave over the DS.
