Joaquin Phoenix as Lex Luthor, and Arrow crossing over into Justice League?

In Batman/Superman and Justice League rumor news, it’s already been confirmed that Batman vs. Superman will be pushed back by 10 months as not to collide directly with Avengers 2 after all. So that means… more rumors! There was a rumor months ago that Bryan Cranston was in talks to play Lex Luthor, but that was all horseshit. Now the rumor has it that Joaquin Phoenix is in talks to play the super-villain. We’ll see. Gail Gadot has signed up for 3 pictures as Wonder Woman, which isn’t surprising— that’s BvS, at least one Justice League and one WW movie. In slightly surprising rumor news, it also sounds like WB is prepping to transition Green Arrow from the TV show Arrow to the Justice League movie intact— kinda the reverse of Agent Coulson going from Avengers to Agents of SHIELD.

Gal Gadot cast as Wonder Woman in Batman vs Superman. Holy mother of Amazon finally ffs

As you may know, I’ve been rooting for DC to get their shit together for a while now. Marvel has done a spectacular job of building a comic book like movie metaverse, and DC hasn’t been able to even keep their huge, world-famous characters in flight for long at all without endless reboots of the same story. But with Man of Steel 2, they’re hoping to finally find a platform to launch from. Superman, Batman and holy fuck finally they’ve found their Wonder Woman with actress Gal Gadot. This also probably means that the Justice League will feature somewhat in BvS, leading into a JL movie, and then DC maybe can gloat a little over Marvel not being able to pull Spider-Man and the X-Men into their movie franchise.

Has DC finally found their Wonder Woman in Jamie Alexander, and will WW be in Batman vs Superman?

Poor DC… for decades, they’ve been trying and failing to bring back a live action Wonder Woman. Obviously, she’s got to be in their Justice League movie, but one WW rumor after the other has proven to be false. So here’s another. Actress Jamie Alexander, who has played Sif in two Thor movies recently revealed that she’s in serious talks to be in Batman vs Superman, leading many to believe she might make an appearance as Wonder Woman. Even though she has later downplayed the rumors, it didn’t help that she tweeted a fan-made piece of photoshoppery as the woman from Amazon. Please let this one be true. Please.

Casting call may or may not point to Wonder Woman appearance in Batman vs Superman

If DC is serious about a Justice League movie, they’re going to have to move fast. Which is why it’s both kind of surprising and kind of not surprising that a casting call for Batman vs. Superman has people talking about whether Wonder Woman might show up.

This Wonder Woman fan film is the closest you might see to a live action Wonder Woman any time soon

Since Hollywood can’t seem to get their shit together for a live action Wonder Woman movie, this fan film is the closest you’re going to see for right now.
