New limited series changes X-Men history so that Wolverine, not Xavier founded the X-Men

Both Marvel and DC have been big on redefining their respective comic universes lately, but even casual comic book observers know that it was Charles Xavier that officially founded the X-Men when he started the School for Gifted Youngsters. But a new five issue series changes changes that to suggest that it was really Wolverine that assembled the X-Men. Waaait huh?

According to Colleen Coover, this page was done by “an unknown hopeful,” and preserved for posterity by the Marvel Bullpen’s Steve Bunche and Darren Auck. Unfortunately, that’s all that’s known about the original creator — although I have a sneaking suspicion that this might be the work of a young Chris Haley — but I hope that he made it into comics.
