Finally, Scribblenauts is moving off handheld systems, on to the Wii U. Using the Wii U gamepad, you can create Scribblenauts items in a whole new and more intuitive fashion.

It looks a lot like New Super Mario Bros for the Wii, except more-er. Not that that’s a bad thing at all, New Super Mario Bros was probably my favorite Super Mario game in a while.

E3 2012: Nintendo’s Wii U will have Netflix, Amazon, Hulu and YouTube

With the Wii U, Nintendo will finally be catching up with the rest of the consoles in terms of being a full entertainment hub. In addition to Nintendo socialy gimmicks, the Wii U will come bundled with Netflix, Amazon, Hulu and YouTube.

Oh, and there’s going to be a bunch of old Nintendo franchise games in HD form.

Nintendo jumps ahead of E3 to announce the final Wii U controller and “Miiverse” online services

Often, Microsoft likes to hold a big presser a day or two ahead of the annual E3 convention, but this year, Nintendo got ahead of the flood of E3 floor press with a conference about the Wii U. The controller, now called the ‘Gamepad’, has been finalized, and there will be a new online service called Miiverse.

Wii U will store game saves and profiles in the cloud

Xbox 360 and PS3 already have saved games and gamer profiles saved to the cloud, and when Nintendo launches the Wii U, it will finally come with such a feature. Congrats, Nintendo on being with the times.
