I love coffee, especially coffee that’s not made in a paper filter. Boiled Turkish style or a French press, or from a gravity pot. This looks pretty fucking good, like a sweet milk French press latte or something.

Vietnamese leaf-nosed bat has the ugliest face in the entire animal kingdom

When scientists first spotted Griffin’s leaf-nosed bat in Chu Mom Ray National Park in 2008, the animal was almost mistaken for a known species, the great leaf-nosed bat, said Vu Dinh Thong, of the Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology in Hanoi.

Still, Vu Dinh and his team, thinking there was a chance the bat might in fact be new to science, used nets to catch some of the docile animals. “While captured, some similar body-sized bats, i.e. [the] great leaf-nosed bat, reacts very angrily,” he said by email. “But Griffin’s leaf-nosed bat seems quite gentle.”

Seafood allergy turns 26 year old Vietnamese woman into a shriveled old woman

Three years ago, 26 year old Nguyen Thi Phuong suffered a seafood allergy attack, and after several failed treatments using local medicine, her face has turned all droopy and haggard as if she were 50 years older.

As Sec. of State Hillary Clinton arrived in Vietnam today, she was presented this painting of her and her daughter Chelsea in traditional Vietnamese rice paddy hats by artist Dao Trong Cuong. I would have just gone with a bad photoshop of Hillary’s face on the naked girl running from an airstrike photo.
