The newest US counterterrorism strategy… trolling the internet

America has used a wide variety of tools at its disposal to try and fight global terrorism, but it may have another, more unlikely weapon— internet trolls. People planning terrorist or insurgent plots often use the internet to rally voices and plan, sometimes just in normal internet forums. So the US State Department figures that if it can infiltrate a bunch of trolls to embarrass and expose such plots, I guess with things like “lol suiside bombers r fags”, we win.
A question of internet trolls: Jeckyl and Hyde or full-time social fuckwits?

If you’re here, this probably isn’t your first time on the Internet. And that being the case, you’ve probably noticed that the Internet tends to turn people into assholes. Anonymity plus a soap box equals assholes. Or is that the case? Are people who are trolls online trolls in real life? Or is being a troll in the eye of the beholder?
