When you think of Neanderthals, yeah sure they had basic leather and fur clothing and some really basic tools, but medicine? Apparently so. New evidence from the dental tartar of Neanderthals shows they also had a basic knowledge of herbal medicine.

Brilliant toothbrush combines brushing and rinsing in one design
Not like rinsing after brushing is at all a difficult task, but the Rinser Brush has a brilliant design that lets you quickly rinse without having to crane your head to get water from the sink or fill up a cup.

Dental x-rays linked to the most common type of brain tumor
Your whole life, every time you go to the dentist and they want to take x-rays, you’re always told by the dentists hiding behind a thick shielded wall that the x-ray dose you’re about to receive is just teeny tiny and insignificant. It may be small, but that tiny dose has now been linked to the most common kind of brain cancer. Oopsie.

Super futuristic ‘smart bomb’ mouth wash aims to get rid of tooth decay forever
Oh well this is great… my sister just graduated from dental school about a year ago and now it looks like a simple mouthwash might make her job obsolete. This “smart bomb” mouthwash of the future could completely eradicate tooth decay with daily use.

Mice teeth regrown through the magic of stem cells
If there’s anything close to magic in science, it has to be stem cells. These days it seems that there isn’t health issue that can’t be cured with stem cells. It’s only a matter of time before all of this stem cell magic becomes standard practice— go down to the doctor’s office and they’ll smear you with stem cells to make you younger, regrow hair, get rid of wrinkles, regrow all your organs and replace teeth.
