X-Men cartoon intro re-created in stop motion with action figures
Today we launched a new Stop Motion! With the 20th anniversary of the early 90’s X-Men cartoon, we had to recreate the intro with action figures! We tried to stay as true to the original as possible, but added a few of our own personal touches to it! :) With 4 months of work and over 4,000 individual photos here is what we came up with!
Awesome stop-motion of the day: “The Joy of Books”
"After organizing our bookshelf almost a year ago, my wife and I (Sean Ohlenkamp) decided to take it to the next level. We spent many sleepless nights moving, stacking, and animating books at Type bookstore in Toronto (883 Queen Street West, (416) 366-8973)."
Awesome Indiana Jones action figure stop motion is awesome
Animator Jeff Gurwood remade the opening six minutes of Raiders of the Lost Ark, including the famous boulder escape scene, entirely in stop motion. The whole thing took six months using Hasbro Indiana Jones action figures.
It took Kalle Mattson, Kevin Parry, and friends over six months to create this cute stop motion short, a lot shorter than the time-frame covered in the video! Watch as history is told via illustrated paper, on an ever turning globe that brings it all back around again.
I fully support more of this sort of thing. Marcus Fenix looks great as a little Lego badass, and I’m sure a Lego GoW would be a hell of a lot more fun than those other Lego games. Not that the other Lego games are bad, it’s just that whether it’s Harry Potter, Batman, Star Wars or Indiana Jones, it’s pretty much the same damn game.
