First look at Paul Giamatti as The Rhino in The Amazing Spider-Man 2

In addition to Jamie Foxx as Electro, The Amazing Spider-Man 2 will have The Rhino, played by Paul Giamatti. I hope this isn’t more Spider-Man movie villain overload, and that the writers can make it work. While Giamatti in this photo isn’t wearing Rhino’s suit, he does look pretty pissed about something.

This is the first look at Jamie Foxx in make-up for the role of Electro in The Amazing Spider-Man 2. It had been previously said that this Electro would have a very different look from the comic books, and I like it. It’s very Tron-Darth Sidious.

Could Spider-Man’s webbing bring a subway train to a screeching halt? Yes it could.

In Spider-Man 2, there’s a scene where Spidey uses his spider-webbing to bring a four-car subway train to a screeching halt. That’s a lot of weight and a lot of mass, but if we’re talking about spider silk sized up to human proportions, it could absolutely stop a runaway train.

First look at Shailene Woodley as Mary Jane in Amazing Spider-Man 2

The Amazing Spider-Man 2 will make for the first appearance of longtime Spidey girlfriend Mary Jane Watson. In the last Spider-Man trilogy, MJ was played by Kirsten Dunst and in this one, the red hair will be donned by Shailene Woodley (The Descendants).

First look at Spidey’s new suit in Spider-Man 2

Every time there’s a new Spider-Man movie, it gives costume designers a new chance to show off their superhero design skills. For the next Spider-Man film, Andrew Garfield is getting rid of the darker Spidey eyes and will be going with something that’s far more in line with Spider-Man’s traditional comic book look.
