Check out the Unreal Engine 4 running on the PS4

Looks pretty don’t it? Some of the games announced for the PS4 include Diablo III (also on PS3), Driveclub (a racing game), Infamous: Second Son, Bungie’s new game Destiny, Watchdog by Ubisoft and Square announced they’re working on a new Final Fantasy for the PS4.

While we didn’t actually get a look at the hardware of the console itself other than the new Dual Shock 4 controller, Sony did spend two hours this evening talking about specs and showing game demos.

New Sony Playstation 4 controller leaks ahead of launch

Sony has set the date of February 20th to officially unveil the PS4 or whatever it’s gonna be called. But a few days ahead of that event, the new PS4 controller has been leaked out. It’s got a small touchscreen on the front and a light on the top of the controller that makes one think it might be for the purpose of a built-in Playstation Move system.

Playstation 4 will almost certainly be announced on February 20

Sony released a very vague, abstract trailer for a press event it’s going to be holding on February 20th, promising “the future of gaming” and “the future of Playstation”. Since the Vita is pretty new, and the PS3 is pretty old, it’s almost certain that the 20th is when Sony will be announcing its next generation console.

Sony probably will be ditching the DualShock controller for the PS4

What with all the money that Sony has spent defending its use of the DualShock controller technology, you’d think they’d want to hang onto it as long as possible. But all things must end, and with a move to focus more on motion control and touchscreen control, it is possible that the rumor is true that there will be no more DualShock controller once the Playstation 4 comes out in favor of something that uses touch technology and a screen, similar to the PS Vita.

PS4 specs leaked… it’s gonna kick serious ass!

Developer kits are being distributed to select developers, and the leaked specs say the dev kits are based on AMD’s A10 APU (Accelerated Processing Unit), which combines both the CPU and GPU in a single unit.

This is what one guy thinks the PS4 should look like

Hopefully some time next year, Sony and Microsoft should be unrolling their next generations of consoles. But what will they look like? Nathan Gandotti and Danny Haymond Jr envision a sleeker, slimmer ans slightly squarer Playstation.
