Neil Gaiman’s Sandman is one of the most popular comic book series of the past 30 years, you would think that it would have been snatched up by Hollywood execs and spun off into an unrecognizable blockbuster franchise by this point. As it turns out, Gaiman actually met with Warner Bros. to pitch a film adaptation of his work back in early ’90s, but they just didn’t seem to get the sprawling narrative — in spite of some really lovely visual aids that had created by Jill Thompson.

DC is bringing out an all-ten-volumes-in-one-slipcase edition of Neil Gaiman’s Sandman. Gaiman writes, “I’m thrilled. You have no idea how long I’ve been asking DC to do one of these. (Er, about 16 years.)”
Neil Gaiman’s Sandman is being turned into a TV series

Neil Gaiman’s Sandman graphic novel, often considered to be one of the best things to happen to graphic novels since the invention of the fountain pen is finally getting adapted to movie pictures— not as a Sandman movie, but as a television series developed by Warner Bros. TV.
