“Red Sonja and the Wizard”: Lost footage from Comic Con, 1978
In the seventies, Red Sonja writer Frank Thorne and Wendy Pini used to perform a show, “Red Sonja and the Wizard,” at comic conferences. No record of these legendary shows were thought to have survived, however—until this film, shot by an audience member at 1978’s San Diego Comic Con, surfaced on YouTube.
Storyboard of Ant Man test footage from San Diego Comic Con
During this year’s San Diego Comic Con, Marvel showed off a short clip of some test footage for the Ant Man movie they’re working on. It was to a closed audience, but once guy remembered every second and when he got home, made this little storyboard of what he saw.

Neil DeGrasse Tyson explains which Star Trek Enterprise ship was the best
Forget anything about Star Wars versus Star Trek… here’s NDT explaining which version of the Enterprise is the best and why.
Every Comic-Con ends with one of the event’s most popular panels, the Starship Smackdown, in which 12 spacecraft battle it out for sole supremacy (based not on armament or shielding, but, usually, whose captain is best with the ladies). This year, it came down to—astonishingly and agonizingly—the USS Enterprise NCC-1701 (1960’s television series) vs. the USS Enterprise NCC-1701-A refit (original motion pictures).

So that live action/CGI Voltron movie is still happening apparently

It’s the retro franchise movie that won’t die, but won’t come to fruition either. But at San Diego Comic Con, World Events president VP Robert Kopla confirmed that yes, there still is a Voltron movie in the works. Just make it already!
It’s currently in development with Relativity Media. Josh Oppenheimer and Thomas Donnelly are working on the script and they have some cool ideas. It’s going to be a big action adventure flick and we’re really excited about it. We have some talented producers on it.
From SDCC, watch the entire Firefly 10th anniversary reunion panel
If you’re a big fan of Firefly and you get emotional easily, you might want to watch this one alone. The whole crew got back together for San Diego Comic Con and it’s a little moving.
From SDCC, check out this trailer for the game ‘Marvel Avengers: Battle for Earth’
In Battle for Earth, coming out this fall, The Avengers take on pretty much everyone, including bad guys like Dr. Doom that Marvel doesn’t have film rights to. Could be a lot of fun or it could be sort of shovelwaretastic.
Marvel shows off Tony Stark’s new caramel flavored suits for Iron Man 3

Marvel brought it in a big way to this year’s SDCC, even going as far as bringing along all of Tony Stark’s new Iron Man suits from Iron Man 3. I know he’s had a shitload of suits, but can someone enlighten me on what the khaki colored one is?
