This is what Nightwing might have looked like in The Dark Knight Rises (Spoilers)

While Christopher Nolan said repeatedly that Robin had no place in his Batman universe, it’s always fun to imagine what-if. Figure sculptor John Harmon used his skills to imagine what Nightwing might have looked like in Nolan’s Bat-verse and it definitely would have been a cool addition.

Grant Morrison says Batman is gay, like super duper gay

For decades, people have been pointing out various homoerotic elements in the Batman story. Batman has had a collection of one night stands and short term girlfriends, but mainly he seems concerned about Robin. In a recent interview with Playboy, comic book writer Grant Morrison talked about the subtle and not so subtle gay subtext in Bruce Wayne’s world.

In 1966, artist Jerry Saunders was commissioned to do series of Batman trading cards based on the Batman TV show. While he didn’t always follow the look of the characters from the show, these trading cards are still charming, funny and even scary at times.

Christopher Nolan sneaking little Robin easter eggs into Dark Knight Rises?

When we posted the first shitty shakycam version of the Dark Knight Rises trailer, one IHCer, McDrunk, pointed out that in the scene with the explosion at the football stadium, the only football player to make it out alive had the last name of “Ward”, as in Burt Ward, the guy that played Robin in the 1960s Batman series…

RIP Jerry Robinson, creator of The Joker and Robin

This morning, the sad news broke that Jerry Robinson, the golden age comic book artist who created much of the Batman mythos we know and love today, including Robin and The Joker died peacefully at his home at the age of 89.

Ass kicking Robin DLC Arkham City gameplay trailer

When Arkham City drops on October 18th, if you’ve pre-ordered from either Best Buy or GameStop, you’ll get one of two Robin characters as a fully playable character. It’s assumed that eventually everyone will get Robin as a general DLC, but here’s what he looks like using the GameStop model. Fucking awesome.

Dark Knight Rises set photos show the Batcave entrance and possible major spoiler (that could also possibly be major BS)

The fact that there is a Batcave in The Dark Knight Rises isn’t the spoilery part— in The Dark Knight, Wayne Manor was being rebuilt, so you should have known that there was already a new Wayne Manor and Batcave, but now there’s actually photos of it. Proceed at your own risk, because there are possible spoilers below.

Three variations on Robin costumes for Batman: Arkham City

When Arkham City comes out, if you pre-order from Best Buy, you’ll get access to Robin and his secret level. If you don’t pre-order from Best Buy, Robin will be showing up in later DLC along with multiple costumes, in the same way that Batman himself will have multiple costumes.

From left to right, we’ve got Tim Drake’s Batman Reborn Red Robin outfit, the standard Robin outfit and Robin from Batman: The Animated Series.

Batman: Arkham City drops from the rafters on October 18.
