Silent 8mm footage shot in secret on the set of Return of the Jedi

A fellow named Jeff Broz shot an 8mm “documentary” back in the early 80s when he stumbled upon the Arizona sets of Return of the Jedi.

Broz captured some amazing money shots from the films from an entirely different perspective, from Luke fighting atop Jabba’s sail barge to Boba Fett on rigging sailing across from skiff-to-skiff. The footage is all silent and 8mm, but entirely engaging.

Created by Bradley Lewis, this isn’t just a fancy single piece of machined metal— this is a working, functioning machine complete with a laser, sound effects and a crystal chamber that opens when you pull the hilt.
