Join us on Wednesday, April 23rd at 10am PST for an AMA (Ask Me Anything) with the director of Birdemic 2:The Resurrection, James Nyugen. The film, destined to be another cult classic, has “romance, horror, awkward sex, deadly birds, zombies, and a giant jellyfish.” Birdemic 2: The Resurrection picks up on the catastrophe of the first film when a flock of eagles and vultures wreak havoc amidst blossoming romance in Hollywood, California, leaving bloodshed and destruction wherever they hover in the sequel to the cult smash hit Birdemic: Shock and Terror.
Reddit will now let its users upvote and downvote their ads

Reddit has been democratizing internet news for a while now and it’s still gotta have ads to pay the bills. But at least now you can upvote or downvote ads. See an ad and hate it? Downvote it and you’ll never see it again. Hopefully this will give advertisers feedback on the kinds of ads that annoy people, because they seem to have no idea at all whatsoever.

PBS Off Book: The culture of Reddit
Since its creation in 2005, Reddit has grown into one of the most influential communities on the internet. More than just a content aggregator, it generates information and new content, and has given birth to intriguing collaborative projects that reflect a particular group character and value system. The Reddit community has become so active that it has had an impact on recent political events like SOPA/CISPA. And like any real-world community, it also has its share of internal social issues, forcing it to grapple with its commitment to free speech and the lawlessness of the internet.
