The new largest structure in the universe is almost too big to comprehend

Stars are big… galaxies are bigger… a newly discovered large quasar group is biggest, by far. This quasar group is a pack of supermassive black holes that measure four billion light years across at the widest point. This one structure, it would take light four billion years to get from one side to the other.
Black holes and quasars could reveal extra dimensions. In bed.

Testing for the existence of extra-spatial dimensions has proven to be a difficult task, but a scientist in Virginia thinks that if we can find a black hole/quasar pairing, we may be able to use it as an experiment to peer into other dimensions beyond the ones we can normally perceive.
