While taking pictures in Västerbotten, Sweden, Dutch photographer Han Bouwmeester failed to maintain control of his weapon. And this golden eagle took it from him.

Being on the east coast of the US, I didn’t see an eclipse this year, but if you live in Japan or in the southwestern US, you probably got a chance to get a rare glimpse at this event. Photos of Dubai before the oil boom
Before Dubai was flush with oil money, before they were determined to turn the city into a real-life Tomorrowland, Dubai and the UAE was just another tiny Arabian desert country with a small population living in a very similar manner that they had been for hundreds of years.

Photos: Infinity Shred (fmr Starscream) @ Shea Stadium in NYC
If you’re into the 8-Bit/Chiptune genre, then chances are, you’re familiar with Starscream. The band consists of George Stroud on drums, Nathan Ritholz on guitar, and Damon Hardjowirogo who controls a few devices, including a couple of Nintendo Game Boys and a Commodore 64 with a Music Maker overlay. Their sound ranges from the ethereal to the downright destructive.
