CES 2013: Panasonic shows off its 20 inch tablet with 4K resolution

Tiny Panasonic robot to attempt 140 mile triathlon

Energizer may have the Energizer Bunny (that they stole from Duracell), but Panasonic has Evolta, a tiny AA-powered robot that’s going to attempt a 140 triathlon on just 3 rechargeable batteries. That’s 140 miles of running, swimming and biking, and Evolta will have a week to do it, unlike his human counterparts, which will have 17 hours. But he’s just a wee little bot. Actually, it will be three separate robots, one for each event, but picky picky… it’s still an impressive feat.
Pretty cool advertising thing: Panasonic packs up a snowman and sends it to Bahrain

If you have to look it up, Bahrain is a tiny island nation in the Persian Gulf, right off the coast of Saudi Arabia. In short, it’s really fucking hot throughout the year and the last time they got snow was probably around the time that Homo sapiens were just starting to lose their tails on the way out of the trees and into the plains.
Panasonic hair-washing robot will give hairstylists more time to gossip, probably won’t rip your head off
Probably. This robot, developed by Panasonic in Japan is meant to put your hair through the washing and conditioning cycles as well as massaging the scalp. The system uses 3D imaging to keep track of the size and shape of your head to give you the perfect hair washing— provided that it doesn’t fuck up and you know, rip your head clean off.
Panasonic unveils the “Jungle”, the portable MMO machine

If bringing your laptop to the loo while you’re playing WoW is too much, Panasonic today unveiled the Jungle, a smaller gaming machine that’s specifically made for running MMOs on the go. Sort of like a small netbook, but all it plays are MMOs.
Right now the tech specs are foggy, but it probably will require some sort of 3G capacity and it’ll maybe be around $400.
