A while back, we told you about how the porn industry was going to try and mimic the RIAA and MPAA by bringing mass lawsuits against people who had illegally downloaded copyrighted pornography. No one I know would ever do such a thing, but I hear it happens.

Fed up with ICANN, Pirate Bay founders want to start their own P2P DNS system

Seeing as how Pirate Bay’s run aground with ICANN as of late, and frustrated that the US government has been pressuring ICANN to remove the domain names of copyright infringers from the global DNS, it’s understandable that Pirate Bay founder Peter Sunde is upset with the current state of DNS affairs. So much so that he’s been pushing for an alternate to DNS that would be P2P based.

LimeWire completely turns off all P2P per court order

If you’re a regular LimeWire user, this won’t be news to you, but if you’ve been thinking about firing up LimeWire to see what you can find, don’t bother… a court ordered yesterday that LimeWire immediately cease all P2P traffic.
