There have been almost no photos or leaks coming from the set of the film adaptation of Ender’s Game, but recently Ender’s Game author Orson Scott Card visited the set to record a short voiceover and gave his impression of what he saw.

Hugo Cabret’s Asa Butterfield will destroy an alien race in Ender’s Game

At fourteen years old, Asa Butterfield is suddenly all A-list. First, he’s in Hugo, the new Scorsese movie that opens next week, based on the novel The Invention of Hugo Cabret and now we hear he’s going to be leading in the film adaptation of the Orson Scott Card novel, Ender’s Game.

So first off, I’m going to have to agree with Topless Robot on this one— I used to like Orson Scott Card until I realized that he’s an asshole that would rather overthrow a government rather than let gays marry. That’s his crazy idea, and in some cases I can overlook someone’s politics and personal life to enjoy their work, but not with Card. But this is still a really well done fan trailer, so props to them for that.
