Saturday morning cartoon question: What happens to Optimus Prime’s trailer when he turns into a robot?

So you remember the Transformers cartoon, right? And you remember that Optimus Prime, being a tractor trailer truck in his spare time, has a trailer that attaches to him, right? Well, what the hell happens to the trailer when he turns into a robot? The cartoon always just shows it disappearing and then when he transforms back, it just appears out of nowhere and attaches itself to his ass.

Looks like Optimus Prime is going to be significantly sexier and smaller this time around.

Life-size Optimus Prime built in China out of junk

This 33 foot tall Optimus Prime was built out of junk car parts in Beijing and stands near the Bird’s Nest Olympic stadium. Optimus in the Transformers movie is a mere 32 feet, making this actually realer than life size.
