Check out this clip from Nickelodeon’s new TMNT animated series
From SDCC, Nickelodeon showed off some clips of their new TMNT series. I definitely like the animation and the energy and the humor, but there are some things about the series that some people might not like (not shown in this video)… Splinter is no longer old and wise, he’s about the same age as the Turtles. April O’Neal is now 16, not a grown up, Donatello has a naginata instead of a bo and “cowabunga” has been replaced with “booyakasha!” That last one… no.
The Legend of Korra started airing today

If you missed it tonight don’t worry it’ll be replaying til infinity on Nick i’m sure. Quite likely there’s already a torrent for it too.
It’s a brand new trailer for Nickelodeon’s ‘Legend of Korra’
Oh, and there’s finally an official launch date. The first episode of The Legend of Korra will air Saturday April 14th at 11am.
Vi Hart’s open letter to Nickelodeon: Spongebob’s pineapple house under the sea is mathematically impossible
Damn the bilateral symmetry!
Get your very own Nickelodeon GUTS aggro crag trophy for just $1500 on eBay

Back in 1993, this guy won an episode of the Nickelodeon game show GUTS, and now is selling his coveted aggro crag trophy on eBay. One of only 126 ever made, this thing would look great on your shelf as you lie through your teeth about having been on GUTS. And no, he’s not selling his gold medal. You’ll have to lie about “losing it in a move”, you morally corrupt bastard.
SDCC: It’s the first trailer for The Last Airbender: Legend of Korra
A couple days ago, we showed you a Korra poster that Nickelodeon was showing off, with Korra on her giant polar dog. While a picture says a thousand words, a video… 1000 times 30 frames a second… a lot of words.
SDCC: Nickelodeon’s poster of Korra and her giant, awesome polar dog
This was being sold at the Nickelodeon booth, where you can see that Korra, in her own spin-off or sequel to the show Avatar: The Last Airbender gets her own giant polar dog. Cooler than a giant air bison? Maybe.
The Last Airbender: Legend of Korra starts next year on Nickelodeon.
Blast from the past: Kids that really sucked at playing Nick Arcade
Remember Nick Arcade? One of the coolest game shows ever, where kids answered questions and then did video game challenges and then at the end the best team got to run through a video game? Yeah well, not every kid was all that bright as this highlight clip shows.
IHC After Dark: Inside Out Boy
This is the fifth and final mini-episode of Nickelodeon’s “Inside Out Boy”, the story of a boy that went over the bar on the swing and was turned inside out. The shorts ran in the early to mid 90s I believe.
New Voltron reboot gets a horrible new rap theme song

Nickelodeon’s going to be rolling out its brand new Voltron reboot, called “Voltron Force” on June 16th, and it’s already got an awful, awful rap theme song called “Let’s Voltron!” I mean, I guess it’s cool to show kids really getting into the show and drawing robots, because that’s what I certainly did, but the song is just fucking god awful.
Nickelodeon releases a TMNT series trailer
We’ve seen the concept art, now see this teaser trailer for Nickelodeon’s brand spanking new TMNT series coming in 2012. The characters don’t look too bad, but it’s impossible to make heads or tails. Though I’m not entirely sure how you fuck up TMNT— nearly everything’s been thrown at the franchise at this point and nothing’s been really awful. Sometimes not all that great, but I don’t think it’s a franchise that you can really deface.
You did it, internet. Nick really is bringing back 90s TV shows, for real this time

A couple weeks ago, we posted a memo from Nickelodeon about bringing 90s shows back on the air. The memo turned out to be fake, but after seeing the huge positive response, Nickelodeon has now said that they will be bringing a number of great shows from the 1990s to Nick Teen.
Meet your brand new Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles

In the last 10-15 years, various outlets have been redoing and reduxing and remaking the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles in various flavors and styles, and god bless them for that, because TMNT is a franchise that deserves to live forever.
