Nitinol, the amazing metal that retains its shape

Nitinol, also known as nickel titanium, is a difficult metal to create, but it has the amazing property of shape retention. Once you bend nitinol wire for example at one temperature, you can bend it way out of shape and then by simply heating it slightly above its original temperature, it will zip back to its original form.
