Mortal Kombat 9’s bad language filter knows more bad words than I do

Most games these days have inappropriate language filters for names and chat, so you know… kids won’t learn naughty words ever. But while some games only have a list slightly longer than the 7 Dirty Words You Can’t Say on Television, it appears that Konami has recruited an elite team of the dirtiest minds in the world to create their language filter. I’m actually quite impressed.

Looks like Mortal Kombat 9’s fatalities are going to be beautifully bloody

MK’s always been famous for its fatalities and its violence, so it’s not really giant newsflash banner breaking news that MK9’s going to continue the tradition, but it’s good to know that the designers seem to take pride in their ability to come up with creative new ways to dismember digital bodies. And that’s even before you start talking about the x-ray mode combos that will be in the game.
