New British citizenship test will cover things like Margaret Thatcher, Monty Python and the Beatles

If you’re applying for British citizenship in the near future, you’d better start studying not only British history, but British culture. The UK will be revising their citizenship test to replace questions about water meters and job interviews with more important information about things like Stonehenge, Margaret Thatcher, the Beatles and Monty Python.

Monty Python reuniting for sci-fi farce ‘Absolutely Anything’

After decades of doing their own thing, the Monty Python cast will be reuniting for a farcical sci-fi film called ‘Absolutely Anything’. This will be the first fictional film the group has all been in since 1983’s The Meaning of Life and the first since the death of Graham Chapman in 1989.

Monty Python animator Terry Gilliam discussing his animation techniques on Bob Godfrey’s Do-It-Yourself Animation Show in 1974. Godfrey’s show, which made animation accessible to the masses by taking the mystery out of the production process, was vastly influential and inspired an entire generation of kids in England, including Nick Park, who created Wallace & Gromit, Jan Pinkava, who directed the Pixar short Geri’s Game, and Richard Bazley, an animator on Pocahontas, Hercules, and The Iron Giant.
