Amazing art of the day: The Real Monsters are reborn!

Upon getting so much attention for my previous designs, I wanted to redesign the monsters and develop the concept a little more. You’ll notice most of the monsters have subtle alterations and the descriptions have been changed to better reflect my original concepts.

Over the coming weeks I will release more (never seen before) monsters and will also release concept sketches and developmental work for each monster shown here- So stay tuned! (They may also be little animations…)

Disclaimer: The artwork is not at all intended to make light of these conditions but instead is intended to give these intangible mental illnesses some substance and make them appear more beatable as physical entities.

Morning music videos: Eclectic Method “Monsters”

"Monsters, Monsters, Motherflipping Monsters. EM’s latest supercut remix track is “Monsters”, your favorite oversized city destroyers all in one mini movie. The obvious monsters are all present - King Kong, The Kraken and of course Godzilla, King Of The Monsters. But also some not so obvious classics, like Howard The Duck. The music is a remix of Akira Ifukube’s original Godzilla theme with a healthy nod to the Pharoahe Monch version."

Australian Burger Kings Get Nicer Kid’s Meal Toys Than Us

While we’re getting licensed garbage shoved down our throats, the Australian version of Burger King, Hungry Jack’s, will be giving away these stylish little monsters with their Kid’s Meals in the coming months. Each “Monsters of the World” figure is based on a mythological creature from - you guessed it — a different part of the world, so kids will get to learn about culture AND have some sick toys!

America, you officially need to step up your fast food toy game, like, pronto.

Jeffrey Thomas has done a set of famous movie monsters as pretty gal flappers, and they are super cute and well executed.  All of the most popular and lasting monsters are here; a vampire, Frankenstein’s Monster, a ghost, a creature of the Black Lagoon, a mummy, and a werewolf.
