Joseph Gordon-Levitt wants to remake Little Shop of Horrors. I’m cool with this.

When a Hollywood production company wants to remake or reboot a movie just to make a quick buck, it’s sort of annoying. But if someone wants to remake something out of love, and it’s someone that can pull it off, it’s exciting. Like Joseph Gordon-Levitt now talking about wanting to remake the film version of Little Shop of Horrors. I loved the 1980s film with Rick Moranis, but I’m totally fine with a new JGL version as well.
IHC After Dark: The incredibly dark (and epic) alternate ending to the 1986 remake of Little Shop of Horrors
I love the remake of Little Shop of Horrors from 1986. The acting, voice work, and music are awesome, and Audrey II’s puppetry was outstanding. So, when I saw that there was a workprint of an alternate ending, I was really excited. Then I saw it. Apparently, this ending cost $5 million to produce, but the only publicly available version is a faded workprint with no sound effects. BUT! The rumor is that David Geffen wants to put the full color, completed version of this ending in a future blu-ray release. So, here’s hoping.
