Way back in 1958, when MGM was putting together Ben Hur, they had a dashing young man named Leslie Nielsen show up to try out for the role of Messala and after doing a screen test, some how they were like “Nah, we’d rather use Stephen Boyd. What the hell’s a Leslie Nielsen anyway?”

Actor Leslie Nielsen dies at the age of 84

Well shitfuckhell… word out on the wire is that legendary actor Leslie Nielsen died this evening at the age of 84. What’s there to say? He went from being a serious actor in his early life to a brilliant comedic actor later in life, he had 50 years worth of movies and television under his belt and in the 80s . He was absolutely unique and absolutely irreplaceable.
