So I told this mad scientist that I like hard rock and I also like hot Japanese chicks.  He said, “OK, let me see what I can cook up in the lab and I’ll get back to you.”  Then this arrived just in time for Christmas. 

So now I’m trying to figure out how to get to Japan to see a show and maybe learn a little Japanese. If these girls had English lyrics they would be unstoppable.

This is what a humanoid robot looks like with a full set of human-like bones and muscles

Created by researchers at the University of Tokyo, Kenshiro is a “musculoskeletal” humanoid robot that simulates the body of a 12-year-old child, complete with artificial muscles and skeletal structures. The robot features aluminum bones and 160 artificial muscles in its neck, shoulders, trunk, and legs, all with the ability to expand and contract, essentially mimicking the natural movements and positional stresses of a real human body.

Doll-like humanoid robot will keep astronauts company on the ISS

There’s already been one humanoid robot deployed to the International Space Station, but it’s goal has been research. When Japanese astronaut Koichi Wakata arrives in 2016, he’ll be bringing along a small robot not as much as a helper but as a little robot friend.
