Ever since the beginning of his film career, Jackie Chan has not only been pretty much a purely action movie kind of guy, but perhaps the most entertaining on-screen martial artist since Bruce Lee. And now Chan has announced he is retiring from action. To do what? Sappy romantic comedies?

Movies to watch this weekend: 1911 starring Jackie Chan

Jackie Chan’s 100th movie in America opened yesterday. 1911 is about the Chinese Revolution of 1911, also called the Xinhua Revolution. This was the revolution that overthrew the last emperor of China and turned china from an empire into a republic. Its opening also coincides with the 100th anniversary of the Xinhua Revolution, which started on October 10, 1911. Looks pretty damn good.

Jackie Chan makes for a very fetching Chun Li from Street Fighter

This is from the Hong Kong film City Hunter, where for some reason at one point, Jackie Chan starts fighting dressed as several Street Fighter characters including E. Honda, Guile and Chun Li.
