It’s not just you, Apple Maps does really suck that bad

It’s only been a little over 24 hours since iOS 6 dropped, bringing with it Apple’s own Maps program, and people are already getting hopelessly lost and confused by its directions. Sure it’s got Siri giving you turn by turn directions and pretty vectorized 3D graphics, but if it gets you lost, it’s not very good. It’s got one job…
Apple ditching the built-in YouTube app in iOS6 for a standalone version

The packaged YouTube app has been on the iPhone since the iPhone was first introduced. In iOS6, there will be no more built-in YouTube app. Instead, Apple has said that Google is working on a separate YouTube app that will be available through the App Store, and you can just use the web version of YouTube anyway.

Whenever Apple has a big media event, whether it’s WWDC or otherwise, there’s always a shit ton of hype— sometimes Apple delivers and sometimes they don’t. But today, I would say that Apple came out swinging with a lot of cool new apps, features and upgraded gadgets across iPhone, desktops and laptops.
