Wrath of god blog… suggestions?

Never had a tumblr before, but have been thinking about starting one that simply has pictures of churches (any religion’s building will do really) that have been destroyed by natural disasters. Actually faulty engineering or arson or whatever would be great as well.

I was wondering if any of my peeps from IHC would want to help?  If not, feel free to leave some comments in the lively section below.

Rumor: Facebook in talks to buy Opera

A couple months ago, when Facebook bought Instagram, they said they were not going into the acquisitions business like so many other large companies, but that Instagram was just a good fit (probably because FB was already working on Facebook Camera and didn’t want to get sued for blatantly ripping off Instagram). But now that they’ve got billions extra in cash from their IPO, Facebook may be hungry more more. And that more may be Opera.

Awful morning music: “The Facebook Song”

This is just all kinds of awful. It makes me want to just end it all and just jump on the nearest tire fire.

Evil genius makes ad-replacing Facebook plugin that nets him over $250k in just two weeks

Some of you are quite familiar with AdBlock, a browser plug-in that removes banner ads from websites. Well someone took that idea to the next, incredibly profitable level— a plug-in that replaces ads with ads connected to a single Google AdSense account, so that every ad you see is generating revenue for one guy, regardless of where you surf. And the genius part is that for now, this appears to be totally legal.

Yahoo does something cool and unexpected, releases a Yahoo browser for desktop and web

The past few years, I’ve just gotten used to watching Yahoo’s slow death— watching as they acquire companies in a desperate bid to try and stay relevant, only to fuck everything up. The last thing I expected at this point was for Yahoo to release a browser. Even more unexpected is that it would actually be pretty decent.

Today would have been Robert Moog’s 78th birthday, so here’s Brett Domino covering Daft Punk on the Google Moog doodle

In honor of what would have been the 78th birthday of music pioneer Bob Moog, Google put up an interactive Moog synth doodle today. So of course, Brett Domino used it to cover Daft Punk.

IHC kinda sorta shows up on G4’s Attack of the Show. FAMOUS.

In a segment on Attack of the Show about the popular puppet-based YouTube channel “Glove and Boots”, IHC gets some very unexpected love. Watch the video below, and if you want to jump straight to the IHC reference, jump to about 2:45.

Forty thousand religious zealots gather in NY to protest the evilness of the internet

Usually, when you hear about highly religious people getting together to get crazy about something, it’s often Christians or Muslims. But this past weekend, 40,000 devout ultra-orthodox Jews gathered at Citi Field to rant and rave for seven hours about how evil the internet is and how it will bring the downfall of humanity. You mad bros?
