Like anyone should give a shit what he has to say, former FEMA director Michael Brown, they guy who was in the chair when New Orleans was crushed by Katrina, the guy whose response to the massive tragedy was painfully slow, said yesterday that Obama should have waited a bit before making any sort of response to Hurricane Sandy. Even though flooding has started to subside along the east coast, Sandy is still churning its way towards the midwest, bringing strong winds, snow and even more flooding. This is one of those times where if you have anything to spare to help out, the Red Cross can always need your donations.

Things were bad last night, but this morning, people are waking up along the east coast of the US to destruction, desolation and flooding. Power is out for tens of millions of people and there is still standing water in many parts of New York City, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Maryland and Delaware. Hope everyone made it out okay.

With a storm as big as Sandy, hitting an area so densely populated by so many people with cameras in their pockets and Twitter and Facebook and Instagram accounts, the most unprecedented thing about Sandy is the gigantic volume of pictures taken of the natural disaster.
