New Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy game on the way, no other details yet

Hothead Studios, whose previous work includes the Penny Arcade game and Deathspank, have been called upon to do a brand new HHGTTG game, though there aren’t any details at this moment, just an official detail-less website, from where the above image comes from.

One would hope that a HHGTTG game would be a point and click adventure like Sam and Max or Monkey Island, as the best way to convey the Hitchhiker’s humor, but I don’t know yet. Stay tuned!

Hey there sport, I bet you didn’t know it was International Towel Day, did you? Waaay back in 2001, two weeks after the death of Douglas Adams, Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy fans decided that there should be a geek holiday in honor of the author, and on May 25th, 2001, International Towel Day was born. So from then on out, every May 25th, HHGTTG fans across the universe will be wearing their all-purpose towels in honor of Adams. And because a towel is always useful.

The original radio cast of Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy is going on tour

Huge… HUGE news for fans of The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy. So you know right that Hitchhiker’s Guide was a radio show before it was a book before it was a series before it was a radio show before it was a movie, right? Well now it’s going to be a traveling stage show with the original radio show cast reprising their roles live, many of which were in the 1981 BBC mini-series.
