Karen Gillan’s hair has been cast for Star Wars VII. Yes, just her hair.

Now that Disney owns a good chunk of everyone’s childhood for the foreseeable future, it’s all just one big happy Disney-Pixar-Lucasfilm-Marvel family. So when Karen Gillan had to shave her head for the role of Neubla in Guardians of the Galaxy, that gorgeous hair just didn’t get swept down the drain— it was donated to the Star Wars VII props and costume department, where it will be turned into a wig, or a beard, or maybe even a long, luscious, fiery merkin for some alien race.

Hey kids look, it’s the first full trailer for Guardians of the Galaxy

Don’t know what the hell is going on? That’s what Google is for.

Guardians of the Galaxy Revealed in Marvel Timeline
Marvel president Kevin Fiege recently spoke with Empire Magazine on where exactly the Guardians of the Galaxy is going to be placed in all this Marvel phase-two madness. In the interview, Empire asked Fiege how exactly this film is going to connect:
Certainly more than the others. We’ve already said that Thanos plays a part in it and is a character in it. That in and of itself should tell you it’s connected to the other worlds.
They followed up by asking if Thanos is going to be the main baddy, to which Fiege replied:
Ronan The Accuser is very much the main bad guy. And Thanos is lurking above it all. You will learn more about Thanos in Guardians, for sure. Certainly you’ll get more than the one turn around and smirk. You’ll get much more than that!
Excited for this one to say the absolute least. I can’t wait to see both of my favorite comic characters, Rocket Raccoon and Thanos, on screen at once.

With Marvel’s ‘Guardians of the Galaxy’ getting a film adaptation, it looks likely that director James Gunn (director of Super) might get the job. And Marvel’s “secret” movie for 2014 is… Guardians of the Galaxy

While we’ve heard rumors of a Guardians of the Galaxy movie before, when Marvel released its slate of movies for the next couple years, there was a “???” in the summer 2014 spot, leading to a lot of speculation about all kinds of crazy shit. But now it looks like that summer 2014 movie will be Guardians of the Galaxy.

And since Thanos plays into Guardians of the Galaxy and Thanos was teased at the end of Avengers, Guardians will probably be spun into that larger universe. Hooray!

Marvel’s post-Avengers slate consists of Ant-Man, Guardians of the Galaxy and The Inhumans

Leading up to the Avengers has been all about huge movies with huge budgets for huge classic Marvel heroes. But the post-Avengers world looks to more about sequels and mining some lesser known comics with good stories that will hopefully make some pretty good movies.
