Awesome Lego short of the day: Bricks of War

I fully support more of this sort of thing. Marcus Fenix looks great as a little Lego badass, and I’m sure a Lego GoW would be a hell of a lot more fun than those other Lego games. Not that the other Lego games are bad, it’s just that whether it’s Harry Potter, Batman, Star Wars or Indiana Jones, it’s pretty much the same damn game.

IHC Game Reviews: Gears of War 3 (pt 1)

Epic’s release of Gears of War 3 comes at a time when the gaming industry is making most of its blockbuster releases. With the season comes great expectations, and I have to admit that Gears was something I was really looking forward too. Of course, with all the marketing, hype and anticipation, the game has to deliver a lot. Did I enjoy playing the last installment of GOW?

With the announcement Friday that Gears of War 3 was done and ready to roll out the door by its September 20 release date, Epic released the game’s opening cinematic as sort of a last minute teaser. So here ya go.

Gears of War 3 Beta: First Hour

In the second Gears 3 post in recent memory, here come my first impressions of the Gears of War 3 beta from my first hour of gameplay. It’s review-like.

So I just got done with my first hour of the Gears of War 3 beta, and here are my impressions.

In the area of weapons, I will say I have used both shotguns, both Lancers, both Pistols and Smoke Grenades.
One new feature in the Beta is that all weapons in your loadout are given range and damage stats, so the gnasher shotgun, for instance, is easily to seen to be having longer range and do less damage. This makes a balanced loadout easier for players who like to switch on the fly…
