Indie band asks Dave Grohl on Reddit to listen to their song, internet fame ensues

Last week, Dave Grohl did an AMA on Reddit and in the middle of the normal AMA chaos, a roommate of one of the members of the Pittsburgh band Winter Brave linked to one of their songs, asking Grohl to give it a listen. He did, he loved it and Winter Brave kinda blew up over night.

Dave Grohl confirms the Foo Fighters are going on hiatus

Dave Grohl and his Fighters of Foo have been going strong touring and recording since 1994, doing one show and one album after the other almost constantly for those 18 years. So perhaps they need a good rest. After rumors of a break-up, frontman Grohl put out a letter today saying the band just needed to take a bit of a hiatus.

Foo Fighters show up to counter-protest Westboro Baptist Church with song

In August of this year, the WBC called for a protest of a Foo Fighters concert in Kansas. So the Foo Fighters showed up on the back of a star-spangled flatbed truck to serenade the Fred Phelps family.
