The 2012 Emmy nominations were announced this morning. Here’s the list.

The Emmy nominations are here, with many of the usual nominees from the last few years, and a lot of damn good shows and actors competing against each other. I’m pulling for Breaking Bad for everything, but you know that already.

TV animators are mad as hell about Community getting an animation Emmy nomination

When the Emmy nominations came out recently, there was one seemingly out of place entry, for Community, for best animated series. Only Community isn’t an animated series, but because they did one animated episode, they were eligible. Only animated series are only eligible for the animated series nomination, not for anything like best actor, best drama, best comedy, etc. And a bunch of TV animators are quite pissed.

So I guess there was the Emmys last night. Here’s the list of winners(?)

I’m not really big on awards shows, but I do watch the Oscars every year, even if it’s the same weepy crap that wins most of the time. But I don’t really watch the Emmys. I just check the morning after to see what mediocre show swept the awards this year.

Emmy nominations are out, Game of Thrones scores big

The Emmy nominations were released today, and normally I care very little about the Emmys, because it usually seems that it’s the same few shows that get nominated and win every year, very few that I could give shits about. But this year, Game of Thrones came away with a shitload of nominations: Best drama, best actor, writing, directing, costumes, casting, hair, title designs… fucking everything.
