And in ElfQuest news, the ElfQuest movie is back on again

It’s the comic book movie adaptation story that won’t die. People want an ElfQuest movie, there are people that want to make it, but it just doesn’t seem to happen. The movie rights have been shuffled around a number of times, but maybe this time it might be it. Maybe.
Elfquest movie killed again, Warner Bros says it’s “too much like The Hobbit”

Once again, the hopes of an Elfquest movie appear to be dashed after WB killed the project, saying it was “too much like The Hobbit”. The Elfquest fan feature now has a teaser trailer

Since Warner Bros probably won’t deliver on the Elfquest movie that they’ve been sitting on the rights to for like forever, a group of Elfquest fans got permission of creators Wendy and Richard Pini to do their own fan feature. But I don’t care if it’s got bad acting and lousy sound, I’ll watch the damn thing anyway in lieu of a big budget Elfquest film right now.
Crowdsourced Elfquest fan film gets the blessing of the Elfquest creators

There may never be a big-budget Elfquest movie, but an experienced group of fan filmmakers are doing things their own way, which is exactly how Elfquest creators Richard and Wendy Pini have always done things. So it’s no surprise that this bootstrappy attitude of amateur filmmakers Stephanie Thorpe and Paula Rhodes has gained the blessing of the Pinis while Warner Bros tries to figure out what to do with the property.
