Dune II game ported to browsers through the magic of Javascript and HTML 5

Both of the original Dune games for PC were a hell of a lot of fun and managed a pretty wide fan base. If you’re itching for some of that old school resource management action, you can now play Dune II right in your browser, thanks to Javascript and HTML 5.
While this version is authentic, if you’ve gotten use to the ease of modern RTS games, you might be disappointed in some of the clumsiness with Dune II you may have forgotten about, but dammit when I was a kid we’d be happy to take any games with graphics or controls at all.
Sean Young’s home movies from the making of David Lynch’s ‘Dune’
Six minutes of video of the making of Dune, filed with mostly negative comments by Sean Young.
Dune without words
I know a lot of purists don’t like David Lynch’s Dune, but it’s one of my favorite movies, even if it did try to cram way too much into too little time and left out some major points. But Rob Beschizza of BoingBoing decided to see how the first scene at least would hold up without any dialogue at all, and I think it really plays to the film’s strongest aspect, which are the amazing visuals and visual tone.
