Tim Burton’s newest film, Dark Shadows, hit theatres this weekend. Based on the 1960’s soap opera of the same name, the film looks to bring the campy show to a new generation, but with the trademark Burton touch. So how does it do? Is it a good effort by Burton, or should it have been left chained and buried in a shallow grave?
Dark Shadows is a Tim Burton movie, which means that it stars Johnny Depp and Helena Bonham Carter and that it will have a soundtrack by Danny Elfman. Warner Bros’ Water Tower Music has put the entire soundtrack online, which you can listen to here.
If you’re worried about such things, some of the track names might be plot spoilers.
Here are the first photos of Johnny Depp in make-up as Barnabas Collins in Tim Burton’s film adaptation of Dark Shadows, his own take on the 1960s gothic soap opera of the same name.
