You remember this? In 1990, this video of a line going around and around the block for people to get a Big Mac or fries in the first McDonald’s in Russia was all over the news. It was an example of how awful the situation was in the Communist Soviet Union and how awesome the United States was in comparison. Well, it was true, because the Soviet Union collapsed a year later.

Turning The Communist Manifesto into a comic book for fun and profit

In order to teach his students about The Communist Manifesto by Karl Marx and Friedrich Engels, Professor George Rigakos of Carleton University in Ontario is producing a four-part comic based on the political philosophical work. You can already get the first issue here at Amazon.

Also, this weekend when I was over at my wife’s dad’s house, my wife’s stepmom told me I look like Karl Marx. So there’s that.
