New Civ 5 expansion puts an emphasis on global diplomacy and culture

If you want Civ V to destroy your life even further, Firaxis recently announced the upcoming “Brave New World” expansion that adds new world leaders, new tactics and a whole lot of options for destroying your enemies with hard-handed diplomacy and through cultural saturation.

One man’s game of Civ II that’s been going on for ten years

For the past ten years, a Redditor by the name of Lycerius has been playing the same game of Civilization II. the three-civilization war he’s been fighting has been at a stalemate for over one thousand years, with the entire campaign currently at 3991 A.D., with things pretty much at a standstill for quite some time.

According to Steam, I have spent over two-hundred and twenty hours playing Civilization V. Fourteen hours in the past two weeks. This is in part to games lasting anywhere from forty minutes to two hours—but the game is so involving you don’t even know that time has passed.
