Mike Wallace, a familiar face on CBS News since the 1960s and one of the founders of the show 60 Minutes died today at the age of 93. Well before news became news-opinion-entertainment, Wallace was an old school journalist that actually asked tough questions and got answers. Back when journalism was journalism.
I’ve got a raging clue right now.
Guy Ritchie has done two recent Sherlock Holmes movie, there’s a very good modern Sherlock drama on the BBC starring Benedict Cumberbatch and now CBS is getting in on the action with a new series called ‘Elementary’ that will star Johnny Lee Miller (that guy from Hackers and Trainspotting) as Holmes and Lucy Liu as Watson. Joan Watson.
Last month, Andy Rooney retired from television after sixty years in journalism and this morning, I’m sad to hear that he passed away at the age of 92 in a hospital in New York after complications from minor surgery. Truly this is a sad day, and you will be missed, you grumpy old son of a bitch.
