Each type of cancer is different and requires a different kind of treatment. For lung cancer, it looks like a new technique could simply freeze the tumors dead instead of lung removal or whatever other brutal techniques are used to carve the growth out.

'Game of Thrones' actor Wilko Johnson (Ser Ilyn Payne) has terminal pancreatic cancer

Pancreatic cancer is some seriously nasty stuff, having taken out the likes of Steve Jobs and Patrick Swayze. Now it looks like that former Dr. Feelgood guitarist and actor Wilko Johnson, well known for playing Ser Ilyna Payne on Game of Thrones, is also dealing with terminal pancreatic cancer. He has chosen to forego treatment, let the disease run its course and live life to the fullest while he can.

Congrats, you beat cancer. The bad news is now you have HIV

A seven year old girl and her doctors were able to completely beat leukemia with an unlikely ally— the HIV virus. In a last ditch effort to save the girl’s life, doctors injected her with a disabled version of the HIV virus that allowed her body to sort of reprogram itself to fight cancer cells. And it worked.

But when the porn video site Pornhub decided to donate money for Komen’s breast cancer research from its site revenue, Komen wasn’t so excited to be associated with… porn. But Pornhub likes boobs and Komen likes boobs…
