Cosplay of the day: Merida from ‘Brave’
IHC Movie Reviews: Brave (2012)

With Brave, Pixar doesn’t stray from its tried and true method of picking a central theme and conflict and wrapping an entire story around it. Unlike other movies, though, Brave takes generally darker path than is typical, shrouding it with more than normal slapstick level comedy. In this review, I will attempt to minimize spoilers, but some may sneak in. You have been warned.
Saturday morning cartoons: Trailer for ‘Kiara the Brave’, India’s answer to Pixar
In the 1990s, you’d have to wait for months after a Disney film’s theatrical release before GoodTimes Entertainment would release their cheap knockoff version. Today, the imitations precede the features that inspired them. Coming to iTunes and Amazon streaming on June 19, Kiara the Brave is produced by the Indian studio Shemaroo Entertainment and distributed by Phase 4 Films.
It’s a brand new TV trailer for Brave. Give it a look, wou’ya?
This new TV trailer for Brave gives a bit more about Merida’s family and shows a bit more about the bear that she’s going to be going after, looks fucking awesome etc. Also, serious question— for decades, there have been lots of movies about girls rebelling against traditional female roles to be warriors, hunters etc and that’s cool, but where are the movies about guys rejecting traditional guy roles? A Disney movie about a boy who doesn’t want to be a football player, but wants to be a florist or a hairdresser. When’s that gonna happen?
Check out the Princess Merida character that’s already showing up at Disney World
Pixar’s Brave isn’t even out yet, but Disney is already showing off a live Merida character on a test basis in certain parks of the Disney World park. She’s very enthusiastic, but I think she needs twice as much hair.
Check out the brand new trailer for Brave
Yes! A brand new Brave trailer, that delves a little more into the plot that reflects the original pre-production title of the film, ‘The Bear and the Bow’.
Check out this brand new Brave featurette all about Merida
So very excited to see this movie. Also, I just now realized that the woman that does the voice of Merida is Kelly MacDonald, the actress who played Diane in Trainspotting. I should read up on these things more often.
The Japanese trailer for Brave brings a few new scenes to light
The Japanese trailer for Brave just came out and it’s got a couple more scenes that are new to the public, some new scenes and more breathtaking scenery.
Watch a full scene from Pixar’s Brave right foaking now
In these 130 seconds, watch Pixar’s redheaded heroine Mereda destroy the competition in an archery contest. Can’t wait til June!
Stop whatever you’re doing and watch the trailer for Pixar’s Brave
Brave now has an official trailer. That is all. Watch it.
Brand new stills from Pixar’s Brave

Brave is still a little less than a year out, but I shall snap up every teensy morsel from now until then. Today, several new stills were released and… wow. Just look at the detail in the hair and the fabrics. This is where we are now with computer animation and I just love it so much I could just eat it up like a bucket of Scotch eggs.
Pixar releases new extended synopsis for Brave

Attendees of Disney’s D23 Expo a couple weeks ago were treated to some brand new footage of Brave, but the outside world has yet to get our eyes on it. However, Pixar did release a new and updated plot synapsis for the film, so I guess that will have to tide you over for now.
At the D23 Expo, Pixar spills a bronze pot of beans on Brave

At this past weekend’s D23 Expo, Pixar gave quite a lot of details on their movie, Brave. There’s no new photos or video yet, but I’m fine with just information for right now.
The Avengers, Brave, Monsters University, Oz the Great and Powerful confirmed to be at Disney’s D23 Expo

Disney didn’t have that big of a presence at this year’s Comic Con, and many surmised that it was because they were going to be putting most of their expo eggs into this year’s D23 Expo in Anaheim.
So here’s the real trailer for Brave and whatnot
No more of that wobbly shitty theater cam shite. This is the real thing… fresh today. The animation is a long way from easily-articulated toys and bugs and robots.
