BMW shows off their autonomous car on the German Autobahn

Before you know it, cars will have the ability to be completely self-driving. You’ll still have to be behind the wheel for now in case of an emergency, but every day, companies get closer and closer to a car that can get you from point A to point B without you doing anything at all. In this test, BMW takes an autonomous car on the Autobahn in normal everyday traffic and the car performs like a champ.

The future of fuel efficient cars is… steam power?

Proving that everything is indeed cyclical, BMW is experimenting with improving fuel efficiency in their cars by adding a steam engine. Yes, a steam engine, that first technology for differentiating a car from a horse carriage.

BMW envisions a future where cars have headlights made out of “lasers”

Car headlights haven’t really changed much in about half a century. Many cars these days use LED headlights, which is an upgrade, but BMW’s testing out laser headlights in its i8 concept car. I don’t know about that. I have a laser pointer and it makes for a really shitty headlight. I know. I’ve tried it.
