IHC’s Awesome Persons of the Year: The Fukushima 50

After tallying the votes, IHC’s 2011 Awesome Persons of the Year are the Fukushima 50, the 50 (and more) incredibly brave workers who stayed behind at the badly damaged Fukushima nuclear power plant in Japan to do their damnedest to try and contain the damage from the meltdown caused by the earthquake.

Even in February, with all kinds of hell breaking loose in Japan, it seemed like we had a year’s worth of news in just a couple months.
