About a decade ago I quit Bank of America because of a scheme they invented that would rearrange your transactions largest to smallest so they could hit you with numerous overdraft fees with the same amount of over drafted money. They did this to me once and I paid them, closed the account and never looked back. I was later named in a class action lawsuit. I didn’t bother to exclude myself. Today I got my “settlement”, about 1% of the amount I was required to pay in. Yeah, that’ll fucking teach ‘em!
Occupy Wall Street: Bank of America blocks customers from coming into the bank and closing their account
Okay, so regardless of the purpose, if you’ve got an angry mob standing outside your business asking, nay demanding to come inside, it’s reasonable to stop them. On the other hand, this whole thing makes BoA look like dickholes. I mean they are a bunch of dickholes anyway, but there could have been an orderly progression if people legitimately want to come in and close their account and not just come in and trash the place.
After Bank of America tries to foreclose on Florida couple’s home, the couple strikes back and forecloses on BoA
When Bank of America tried to foreclose on Collier County (FL) homeowners Warren and Maureen Nyerges, the couple went to court to prove they never had a mortgage to begin with, having paid in cash.
It took a year, but the pair won their case, and the judge ordered Bank of America to cough up the legal fees. When, after five month, the bank still hadn’t given the Nyergerses a dime, the couple went to their local branch to collect — bringing a foreclosure defense lawyer, Sheriff’s Deputies, and moving trucks along with them.
OH SNAP.
As promised, Anonymous begins leaking incriminating Bank of America emails this morning

Back in January, when Wikileaks leaked hundreds of thousands of diplomatic cables that temporarily embarrassed several world leaders, Julian Assange stated that he had a poison pill cache of documents regarding Bank of America’s role in the 2007 mortgage crisis, that would be released if he were imprisoned or killed. All last week, Anonymous has been promising to release similar, if not the same (unknown right now) internal correspondance.
Bank of America snapping up “BoA sucks” domain names in anticipation of Wikileaks leak

Earlier this month, Wikileaks Dear Leader Julian Assange said that in January (that’s only a week from now), he would be releasing a shit ton of incriminating documents on Bank of America and how they contributed to the financial meltdown in the US. So in anticipation of that, Bank of America is apparently snapping up as many “Bank of America sucks” type of URLs. Because that’s going to make a whole lot of fucking difference.
