Test animation from the canceled Alien RPG ‘Aliens Crucible’
The RPG was in development at Obsidian Entertainment (Knights of the Old Republic 2, Fallout: New Vegas) and was apparently “ready to ship”. Xenomorph costume test footage is still terrifying
For the original xenomorph suit, director Ridley Scott used Bolaji Badejo, a Nigerian college student living in LA who was introduced to Scott because a casting director thought Badejo’s 7 foot lanky frame would look great as an alien. Badejo took t’ai chi and mime classes to get his movements right, and wound up playing the alien in almost all of the scenes with it (the exceptions being some stunts).
